The title says it all. Pages 09 is intermittently hanging (spinning beachball) when I try to save or export a document. It doesn't happen EVERY time, so I can't reproduce it, but it's happened several times in the past few days.

I'm running Snow Leopard on an original Intel iMac. Everything is updated to the latest versions.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this or how to stop it?

An easy first step would be to open Font Book and validate the fonts you're using. If nothing turns up, you could use AppCleaner to remove Pages and then reinstall the application.

If it persists, then I would suspect it's something in the document(s). Try to rebuild the document piece by piece. Start with plain text, add styles, then graphics, etc.

If you still have a problem, I'd suspect some OS/disk issue. Permissions?

Thanks, mysterytramp. I validated fonts and found 18 with "minor warnings," so I removed them. Fingers crossed that this will solve the problem.
