HI
I just updated to Leopard after running Tiger for years. I have iWork 08 but was considering buying iWork 09 and downloaded the trial version. SOME of my documents can be opened and others give me an error message that they docs cannot be opened.

To test, I installed the iWork 09 trial on my Tiger disk, and in Tiger I could open everything! I resaved all documents these in a newer version, logged out, restarted in Leopard and the same problem. Can't open most of the docs.

I am wondering if there is a workaround or not. Are there any other programs that will open pages documents? I did the zip file trick to open the pdf and xml documents, but it is too much of a hassle to reformat everything. I may just have to work in Tiger again! I will NOT buy iWork 09 either, unless there is a fix! Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Checked for/installed all updates?

I seem to remember there being some compatibility issue between Pages 08 and 09 which was fixed with a software update.

hmmm, that's very strange, what is the file type of the documents you're trying to open?

Repaired disk permission? Onyx has a good script that can flush out any file type errors if you have it installed.

Worst case scenario just stick it out with Pages 08.

will give Onyx a try... I own Cocktail and normally use that.
will get back....
thanks!

No Onyx didn't help either. Why some newer and older docs can be opened and others created at the same time cannot, is a mystery.
