Pages '09 - "The document ______ could not be saved as ____."

I keep getting the error message in the title when saving any document in Pages. I really can't lose what's been written, so I'd rather not close it and have to reinstall. It's not a permissions issue, as I am trying to save it to Dropbox, and it's not a Dropbox issue because it won't let me save it to my local drive.

Is there anything that could be put into a document that would keep it from saving properly? Thanks for any help.

I'm on Lion, MBP early 2008. Pages '09 v4.1.

You could copy the text & paste it into a TextEdit document & save that.

If you've used a "color pattern" in your document, change it to a solid color or just plain white.

Seems there might be a bug involving "Color patterns" chosen via color picker.
