I've only used it a little today, but I never had any issues with Pages before this update. I love being able to edit in landscape on the iPhone now, it's much better.
Personally, I'm not too happy about the icons they changes in the menu bar, but I'll get over it. I personally find them a little confusing and never found that with the original icons.

No Full Screen in Pages 1.6 for iPad
This is the worst part of the update. Why would Apple remove the full screen option? This makes it a much worse application for those who need every inch of the screen, e.g., professors. I use pages for lecturing/teaching, and losing that inch of screen space makes a big difference.
