Pages can't export to Word

Hi everyone

I have to upload a word document to my students tomorrow and I am having an issue with Pages. Basically, as the title says, I cannot export into a word document.

Virtually every student uses Windows so it is imperative that I convert this into Word. The file contains 8 pages which contain many diagrams, but no photos or anything too large. The pages file is about 800KB.

Please can anyone help? I have enough on my hands right now as it is.

Why can you not export it? Does it give an error or something?

As a temporary solution, you can upload the Pages document, PM me the link, I'll convert and send back

Oh yes, how silly of me to not include that.

Basically it will export into every other format, but when I try to send it to Word, the program hangs about half way through exporting and the fans of the laptop come on etc. The program then uses up to 600MB ram by itself. I left it for about 5 minutes on the exporting mode but all I was doing was cooking the thing.

How is NZ doing btw? (my home).

In Pages '08, File>Export...

You can choose PDF, Word, RTF, and Text. Worked for me, Pages to Word, Word to Pages and back to Word. no problems.

EDIT: Just missed the preceding posts while I was testing. Still don't know what the problems are, sorry.

Yeah its doing okay, been raining then sunny, then raining, then sunny and so on for the day...typical Auckland weather.
