Pages Documents in Microsoft Word

Is it possible to view a pages document in Word without having to export it as a word document. i.e. can Word read a .pages file.

When i email attachments it would be a real hassle to have to export the file each time making a duplicate copy in my documents folder which i would later have to delete etc.. in which case pages is not a solution as it is scarcely compatible.

Word cannot read .pages, but Pages can export the document and make it .doc

Unless you need the remote party to edit the document send it as a PDF. It will then display exactly as it does on your machine.

yeah i thought as much, shame makes pages a pain up the bum.
