Hi Guys,

I am using Apple Pages to create a few documents for print and pdf. When printing them out on the colour laser they come out perfect, sharp and generally i'm happy. However when exporting the document as a pdf file for email transit all the fonts become bold! I have tried apple's export as pdf in Pages, and I tried hitting print, then using the "save as pdf" feature. Both still come out with the fonts all being changed to bold.

Is there a way to stop this or around this? I created a new document, used arial as the font, typed two lines of text and same thing again!

Regards,

.Joel

Suffice it to say, what you describe is not standard behavior. Have you examined the properties of your PDFs for the embedded fonts?

Checking for font inclusion can be accomplished in Adobe Reader, btw. Preview doesn't provide this information. Worth checking in this case, but it may not tell you what you need to know if the offending font is Truetype.
