Pages on iPad but not Mac?

If I have pages for iPad and iPhone, can I open those documents from iCloud on my Mac without having Pages 09?

I have pages 08 but not 09.

You can choose to open them as .pages, .doc or .pdf versions onto your mac, so you'll be able to view in Preview.
