Hi everybody! So I have my new 1.1 gold rMB and I'm mostly loving it. For the most part I don't really notice much lag (and I think most of this UI lag, by accounts, should be cleared up with the next iOS). But I do have quite a bit of lag in Pages, especially when I have my page fitted to the width of the screen. Does anybody else have this? Is this a problem with Pages or with this processor?

I don't see any lag...anywhere, really. I have the solver 1.1Ghz, and while it's not blazingly fast, it's not lagging. I bet it's Pages, most likely an isolated bug for your specific copy of the program. All of Apple's programs should run smoothly.

So do I re-download the app?

I haven't tried removing Pages yet (I'm just working on too many documents right now). But I did install MS Office 2016 preview and it was also incredibly choppy with documents when I scrolled (absurdly choppy actually).

Is anyone else having this experience with documents?

Microsoft has always been pretty choppy/laggy. I've never had an issue with any of the Apple office apps. I usually convert Excel docs to Pages because they run much smoother on it. This is still true on my rMB, 1.2.

I have no problem so far with MS Office 2011, Office 2016, I am holding off, unless It offers me any distinct benefit. Like as not I won't consider Office 2016 until it`s commercialised and been through a couple of updates.

I'll try that but I feel that it's weird my computer is only laggy for word processors. I tried re downloading Pages. No change. I'm going to try reinstalling OS X today.
