I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus through Apple on 9/12 (pre-order) for 9/19 delivery.

When I ordered (Verizon), I used a line that did not have an upgrade available. So they gave me the option of paying full price, which I did. It was my understanding that if I paid full price, there would be no contract extension, changes to my data plan, and I wouldn't have to pay an upgrade fee ($30.00).

However, when I check my order status on the Apple Store webpage under my account, under rate plan, it shows a 2-year commitment, $30.00 upgrade fee, and that my rate plan was changed.

Does anyone know if this is just a mistake?

Give them a call. They messed up on my upgrade date and calling them fixed the issue.
