I have searched for an answer for this but there doesn't seem to be a case resolving my situation.
I am developing an app for a company that has paying members. These members pay by mail or via a website per year. The app will only function for members. It seems that if you were a non-member we will have to add in text that says something similar to "You are not a member, please go to "urlhere" to join." However, the URL will just be text since we cannot have a button in-app. Is this accurate?
Also, we wish to make this a paid app. So our members will pay for the app but if you are a non member you have paid for an app that will not function until you register for a membership via the online portal (not linked to the app). Is this against Apple rules? I used to liken this to bank apps which require you to have a bank account to use the app - but those are usually free apps. This one will be paid. Are there any obstacles I will encounter with this model?
