iPhone Painfully slow spotlight music search on ios 8.1 and iphone 6, any fix?

So searching for music in spotlight to quickly launch a song I want is so painfully slow I mean as I type something it stalls and only after 5-10 seconds shows me the song that's on my iPhone to select. Why is that? I'm guessing it's spotlight suggestions that's the problem? It goes online to search for what I'm typing or whatever I guess.. Any fix for this?
 
Works instantly on my iP6 with 8.1
I would follow the usual restart...reset...reinstall procedures if I were you as it obviously isn't a general issue with all phones.
Also, go into your Spotlight settings and make sure that everything you want to include in a search are grouped at the top of the list, with no deselected items in between.
I recall that used to cause issues in past iOS versions
 
I don't have all the things in spotlight search settings selected, I only selected applications, notes, contacts and spotlight suggestions and music, the rest of the things like voice memos and all the rest are turned off, should I turn everything on over there? Is that gonna solve it?
 
How many songs do you have in your phone? I notice a few seconds of lag before my music search results come back, and I always assumed it was because I have over 5000 songs. It's definitely not 5-10 seconds, more like 3-5.

i have about 3k songs on my iphone no more than that. i dont see why its taking so long for it to spotlight.

Weird. I just timed mine (very unscientifically), searching for several song titles/artists and seeing how long it took. They seemed to pop up within 2-3 seconds, except for one that came up almost instantaneously, to me yours seems crazy long.

Just make sure that you move everything that is turned on, to the top of the list.
Everything that is turned off should be at the bottom.
It used to be an issue in older iOS versions, but that's all I can think of at the moment

Just tried that it's all at the top but music search is still slow ugh
 
so im still having this horrible bug in Ios 8.3 seems like it wasnt fixed
