I am consdering getting a Matte black 7 but I read reports about the paint flaking and chipping. Is that still the case?
Thanks
In another thread you already got your new 7 and are already complaining about it.

I don't believe it was a wide spread issue. But there were reports of the issue occurring months ago. It was possible due to a batch of early on Matte Black models chipping due to the anodization process not curing at the appropriate temperature. But I have read very few issues of this happening or reported frequently.

Dont be so quick to judge. They are out of silver and offered a matte black. You are the over optimistic i-never-have-problems guy of this board but seriously dont just judge everyone so quickly.

Bingo. But then again, to be fair, you'll find many like that here. You are the over optimistic i-never-have-problems guy
Why do you keep buying Apple products, it looks like everything you've bought has had a problem. I'd stop buying from a company if I had that many problems.I am consdering getting a Matte black 7 but I read reports about the paint flaking and chipping. Is that still the case?

Maybe because they're still better than the competition with flaws (and without, practically perfect), and because the software is much better, and maybe he is tied into the Apple ecosystem and is invested in it too much to ever switch. Those are my reasons. Why do you keep buying Apple products, it looks like everything you've bought has had a problem. I'd stop buying from a company if I had that many problems.

Well, I've had quite a few problems myself. Some of problems posted in the threads here are rather widespread, including this one. I don't have this issue but my 7 plus clicks off and on in the bottom corner, and I've had horrible luck with screens over and over again the past few months. Just saying that because he's had many problems doesn't mean he's lying about it. That said, I just checked his history of threads started and that's a hell of a list of issues.I agree with you 100%, but read his history, any problem other people have with an Apple product he own's, somehow he is having that same exact problem. If I had that many problems with every product I purchased, I would buy something else. All I'm saying...
Paint chipping, the worst thing that could ever happen to a phone. Life is a tragedy.
