Painted Apple Extreme

Anyone think spray painting an apple extreme router will have a deleterious effect on its performance?
I'm thinking of spray painting one black and leaving a strip on the back white where the connections are located. My guess is that it won't have any effect.

I'd gut it first, then spray paint the shell... let it dry, then reassemble. It will have one effect - looking awesome.

Hadn't thought of that but I like the idea. Will definitely go that route if I decide to turn it into something akin to the
2001 monoliths.

Be sure the paint you use has no electromagnetic interference properties.
