Painter Essentials 4 won't open!

I just installed Painter Essentials 4 and it won't open. It tries to open, showing the splash screen, then quits back to the Finder.

I tried installing the update from the Corel website, but that doesn't work at all, because it goes looking for a Painter folder, and there is no folder, only an icon.

Clunky!
