Painting dock to match black 3g?

I was thinking about painting my dock to match my black 3g. Has anyone done this or thought about doing it? If you already did it what kind of paint did you use?

i did this to my 5g ipod dock a while ago, but now i use it for my iphone. I know its not perfect fit but it does the job.

i just used auto paint i got from Pepboys and some clear coat for shininess and for protection

If you want it to look even reasonably good you will have to take it apart.

Colorwarepc.com will do it. Cost is twenty if I recall. Not cheap, but probably the best way to do it if you want it perfect.

Not true at all. Just be handy with masking tape and an hobby knife.

yes i did. just took a knife and pryed it off.
