Paired new watch before unpairing old one

So, how do I get the old phone unpaired and reset it to factory in order to sell it? Can this be done?

I upgraded from the Series 1 to the Series 3 watch. I was excited and paired it with the phone without thinking to unpair the old one.

So, what do I do to unpair the old one and reset it without disturbing the new one?

You should be able to unpair the old watch without it affecting the new watch. Just make sure that the new watch has a different name in the watch app. That way you won't accidentally unpair the new one thinking it is the old one.

I have three different Apple s3 watches paired to my phone. I have been able to unpair (at times) one of the watches while the others stay intact.

Well, I don't remember getting asked to name the watch on setup.

I just did this over the last week. Didn't affect anything when I unpaired the old one. Good luck!

While wearing the watch, open the watch app > general > about > click on current watch name and edit as desired.
