I unpaired my watch last night and then paired with a new phone. The unpairing causes a watch backup to occur and I restored it from that one.

I also backed up the original phone to iCloud.

However, I have no activity for yesterday. The previous days look ok.

It wouldn’t be a problem if I’d not got a really long movement run going. Anyone know how to fix this ?

Thanks

I also backed up the original phone to iCloud just before.

I recently sold my 7+ and bought an iPhone XR. Everything transferred except the workout history was incomplete. It took a few days, but it all came back eventually. I had almost 3 years of workout history. It restored all of the old stuff first and the recent week took the longest.

My procedure to pair an AW to a new iPhone is as follows:

1. Make sure I fill all of the rings before starting. As such, this usually means I have to do all of this in the evening.
2. Unpair AW from current iPhone.
3. Back-up current iPhone using iTunes (make sure the back-up is encrypted so that Health data is transferred).
4. Restore new iPhone using the recent back-up.
5. Pair AW to new iPhone.

Doing it this way ensures that my Move streak stays intact. I've had issues in the past where I lost a Move streak when I did a pair/unpair. A portion of the Move credit was from the re-pairing, so I didn't get all 700.

NOTE - any time you unpair/re-pair an AW, you lose your calibration data. So it's best (IMO) to wait for good weather to do this so that you can go out and get a 20 minute walk (or run) when it's not too cold or raining.

NOTE 2 - Your VO2max will get screwed up (most likely) on a re-pair. It'll take a few days to see the VO2max start rising to where it should be, at least in my experience.

Thanks. It looks like I have all my history except for yesterday.

Thanks for the detailed reply. That's just what I did.

Oh, I guess I mis-read your orignal post. I thought you backed up your iPhone before unpairing.

My mistake. Corrected.

Here's what I get.
