I have a series 2 Apple Watch. It is unpaired from my 6S+, and I verified it‘s no longer associated with the phone. But, the iPhone 13 won’t pair with it. The watch is updated to the most recent os. I have tried pairing automatically and manually. The message when I do it automatically (positioning the watch face in the frame on the 13), is “unable to connect to Apple Watch.” When I try to do it manually, no devices are displayed for selection.

Any ideas?

Never mind. My watch is incompatible with the 13. I was not planning to get a new watch on top of a new phone this year. May have to return the phone.

sorry to hear that. I have a series 4 but was receiving the same message. After the side by side transfer, the watch pairing started on its on then stalled out. I ended up having to reset and set up as new. Maybe trade towards the SE if there’s no compatibility or workaround?

Well, after a couple of hours, there is no f’ing way this phone is being returned! OMG! The speed and the screen are such an incredible jump from the 6s+. Haven’t even tried the camera, but expect that will be amazing change as well. Gonna try to make due with an unpaired watch for a while because I can’t currently afford to replace it. Hoping for some better discounts on the series 6 when the 7 is released.

I’m having the same issue. Have resorted to resetting the watch and installing/pairing as a new watch.

It’s an AW3. It’s pretty old now. Maybe a good excuse to get a new AW7? 👀

EDIT: Resetting worked. Setting up again. Just look at that screen. 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🤯
