Pairing Droid2 with MAC OSX 10.6.8

Trying to pair my Motorola Droid2 (2.2.3) to MAC 10.6.8.
On the MAC it discovers the Droid and on the Droid it can also see the MAC.
On the Droid under Bluetooth Devices if I select the MAC it displays "Pairing"
but never get prompted for a password on the MAC. Same is seen from the MAC side it sees the Droid2 but can't connect.

I have used the same phone to successfully connect to my other MAC, but it's running 10.5.8.

Not sure what I have missed any tips on connecting to 10.6 MAC ?

most mobiles don't support bt file transfer to the OS by default.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Tethering? File transfer?

also check out PDANet for android. it makes tethering work.
