Pairing iPhone with ps3

I thought it would be a great idea to pair the phone and use the headphones as a headset. (i upgraded to the vmodo duos which have mic input as well) I tried doing this on ps3 and it finds the iphone I enter 0000 for pass key then on the iphone it asks for pin number. I put 0000 and a fail screen comes on ps3

any ideas...

Is it possible to pair *any* phone with a PS3? Even if you could, why assume the iPhone has some hidden "act as headset mode" that would allow the functionality you seek? You can't even send files to your computer or another phone through the bluetooth on iPhone.

Furthermore, if you have the means to acquire a PS3 *AND* an iPhone, it shouldn't be any problem for you to acquire a proper bluetooth headset as well. Good luck.
