Regarding pairing on the Apple TV, i dunno know what to make of this:
"Pairing makes your Apple TV control one device" however, Apple also says "Any Apple remote will work unless paired"
Thus, if you have two, or more Apple TV's, in a house, if one APple TV is not paired to any remotes, then pairing "effectively" is useless, since even paired remotes will work with un-paired Apple devices/TV's
Does anyone have an explanation as to why Apple desired to allow this ? Since by virtue, once paired, shouldn't that remote *only* work with that device and no other ?
There is no chance of interference because we have them situated at the other end of the house, but in order to use my harmony remote, Apple TV first must be un-paired.
Occasionally though, i do walk out with my own remote in hand, so as the question.
