Pale grey areas on 24" Cinema Display; should I be worried?

Hi there,

I know the issue from 24" iMacs. I work in a university mac lab and out of the 24 Macs we bought in a batch, 13 have grey / black spots and/or quite bad discolorations close to the camera.

We have yet to do something about it. The semester just started and we can't just close down one of the computer labs.

However we have a 5 year warranty. But 13 (maybe more) out of 24 does not suggest this is a problem that never came up before, so you could probably talk to the guys in the store.

I also thought about it being a discoloration or dust inside the glas. But I wouldn't open it up in a non-dustfree area.
