Palm Rest covers for cMbp 13"?

I read the sticky about not having palm rest covers for the rMbp. I couldn't find it saying that cMbp's can't have them, just rMbp. Maybe I just missed something? Would it hurt if I get palm rest covers for my 2012 13" cMbp?

It won't hurt. I've never used them on any of my Macs though.
