Palm Rest Sensor Issue- Macbook Pro 2009

Hi, I went into the Apple store for a Fan issue and they pinpointed the issue was my palm rest sensor near the hard drive. Is this something i can fix with eBay or disable (SSD) for future use?

Please I'd tried everything possible.

i bought the computer for $400 - and its not worth 700 in my opinion

The palm rest sensor is actually in the display assembly.

really do you have a diagram that shows where its located
