Palm Tungsten E + Mac USB??

My friend gave me his Palm, and I am just curious to know what its like (its sooo amazing how apple made smartphones look cool!)

He didn't have a charger, but I heard it can trickle charge from USB. So I 'took' a mini USB plug and plugged it into my mac and left it all night. It still won't power on

Is the battery dead?

Can it really trickle charge?

Where can I buy a charger?? (not online)

Just with a quick Google check, it seems that there might be such a thing as a special 'trickle charge usb cable' or 'USB sync cable ' that comes with the Palm.
