Resolved Panasonic Compact

I posted this in the Digital Photo section, but have closed it due to lack of response. Not sure this deal will be around for long so would like an opinion on the camera in the link.

I'm looking to replace one of my compacts and came across this:

It did...Thanks..not for me, looking for something better really I guess its a good deal, but I feel it would be too big a gap to my high end DSLR and Video kit...Any suggestions on something a little more professional?

What's your budget?

I have a DSLR (450D) and also a Canon G9, and the G9 is quite a good camera, though the Gx series is still a bit pricey I guess.

I have a real downer on Canon.....Have done for years...Budget wise well I don't wan't to sacrifice quality for the sake of a few £. perhaps I'll go down the Nikon route.
