Panasonic HDV-200 to mac hard drive

Could anyone help?

I have a panasonic hdv-200 and i want to record in DVCPRO or DVCPRO HD. In order to achieve this i must record onto P2 or a firestore. But i read here,

that its possible to record directly to hard drive when running FCP. Does anybody know how to achieve this?

FCP Capture

It's pretty easy actually.

Just plug the camera into the computer. Have the camera in camera mode (not VCR mode). You shouldsee live video.

Crank up FCP and go to the capture section.

Click Capture Now... at least that's what it said on my old version.
