So I got a PowerBook 5300c today, and I am trying to get my Panasonic KXL-D740 PCMCIA CD-ROM to work, which has a KME-KXLC002 Interface Card, and Mac OS 7.6 don't seem to have the proper driver for it. Is there a driver for this or should I just get a SCSI-HDI30 cable?

Doesn't look like Panasonic ever offered a Mac driver for it:

It's possible that this card might work with Adaptec's 1480 Slim SCSI driver, or the AHA-2906 driver - BUT you might need to edit the driver extension to work with the PCI ID of the card you have.

Then, you'd need a driver for the CD drive, which should work with Apple's CDROM extension v5.3.1.

If you can look in the System Profiler in 7.6, you might see it listed as a PCI device. If the IDs match
