Pandora on watch not connecting to airpods

Apple Watch 6, fully updated as is the phone.

Having issues where I can't play from my watch pandora app (downloaded songs) to my airpods. The music app works just fine, but the pandora app just won't connect or even give me the option to connect to my airpods..

Anyone else had and fixed this issue?
