If I restore my phone as new, then jb, then restore from backup, will my phone still have the jb on it? Wouldn't that erase the jb?

K. Will do.

So, apparently when you restore you have resubmit your cards to Apple Pay and you have to redo all your fingerprints for touch ID. Ug. I get it, but ug.

People have reported making an encrypted backup in iTunes backs up your health info, so it might be the same for apple pay cards and fingerprints

Nope, restored from an encrypted backup, and it made me do the fingerprints and Apple Pay cards all over again.

I had the same problem, I had to do a complete restore and then jailbreak and not set up anything after the restore. Just set it up enough to get to the home screen don't activate anything, just skip all the steps, then make sure you also put it in airplane mode. That worked for me

Maybe a low memory problem

I got that error with the Windows an Mac version of Pangu if I restored all my apps and music before Jailbreaking. After DFU restore without restoring from backup both Pangu versions completed the jailbreak.

This might be a low memory problem. My iPhone 6 is only 16GB.

I jailbroke from a clean install of 8.1 on a 64GB iPhone 6.
