Panics FTP Transmit adds NUL characters at end

I downloaded the demo Transmit from Panic's website. Looks like nice product but I don't understand why when I save files it sometimes adds NULs at the end.

I use their Volume mapper and edit the file in place with my IDE. Ive been using the IDE for years and never had a problem like this.

I don't know anything about this app I'm afraid, but when I do FTPing with an app at work, this kind of thing happens when the file transfer is set to binary or ASCII transfer format incorrectly.is that anything you can change?
