Panoramic camera stops when I move the iphone

So I was taking panoramas, and it suddenly stopped midway. I tried taking another, but when I moved the phone to either side (not up or down) it stopped taking the panorama and saved the image, as if I had only taken it with a regular mode

TL;DR Panorama camera stops panorama when I move the phone sideways. Never did this before.

You are moving the camera in the direction of the arrow, and only in that direction? If you go against the arrow, it stops.

Are you taking the panorama in portrait mode or landscape?
