I just finally ran the 10.3.9 update on my 1.8 Ghz iMac. I had been running 10.3.6 with no problems but thought it would be nice to be able to view videos in itunes 6.0 (which requires 10.3.9) so I loaded the update via "Software Update". The computer seems to be working fine except that I can't open System Preferences and Software Update is no longer working. Is there a fix aside from Archive and install from the System software disks? Has anybody had a similar experience? I tried to download the 10.3.9 update from the Apple Support site but it won't mount on my desktop citing "codec overrun". I'm baffled. Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
