Greetings!

A few months ago i scored an early IMac G3. An indigo 350Mhz model without a hard drive. I just loaded up 512mb SD Ram, and a 8gb (yeah i know, but just for now) Drive. The original one according to the bottom was a 7Gb. Anyways. The issue i have comes here. The drive itself was taken from an old WIndows Pc. its a Fujitsu MPC3084AT 8.4GB 3.5 1/3H IDE HDD. BUt when i booted the OS9 CD it partitioned the disk as a 1.99Gb. Then when i tried to repartition in panther (sadly because this model has no firewire no tiger) it still showes only 2Gb. Why is this?

I know its not a jumper issue as before i put it in this imac it booted windows 98 and shower 7.5Gb space.

Are you formatting the entire disk or just creating a 2 GB partition? Don't rule out jumper settings if you didn't actually check it. Try erasing the disk and reformatting.
