ok so my friend has a g5 imac running panther, and she set the default to open itunes upon insertion of a blank dvd. but now she needs to copy a few documents to a cd, but itunes automatically opens up, and theres no option in finder for "new burn folder" like there is in tiger. how do they change the default, and how the hell do they burn a cd of documents now? remember, this is panther, not tiger

In the CDs and DVDs pane of System Preferences change the default to 'Ask', or 'Open in Finder'.

You'll then need to burn by draopping files and folders onto the blank DVD icon on your desktop,or get a 3rd party burning app. 'Toast Titanium' is good but not free. 'Burn' is free.
