panther cheaper for people who bought new macs recently?

I heard rumors about this being the case when Jaguar came out, but I don't know if that's true, let alone if it will be true for Panther. What do you all think? Will apple offer panther to recent (last 3 months) mac buyers at a reduced price?

Nope, I think the way it works is that if you've bought a new mac within a few weeks of the new introduction, you get it for less

usually this happens once apple introduces a release date, which hasnt happend yet. maybe at macworld they will give a date, then they will say any mac that is bought today and after will get it for 20 dollars.
