HI!

I have what might be a dumb question. I bought my 900mhz 12in iBook last July and have not upgraded to Panther. I know Tiger is coming out soon, but here is my question: Will Panther make my G3 machine feel slower, faster, or about the same? I won't bother upgrading if it slows it down at all. Anyone with any experience please let me know.

Thanks

panther will make any osx capable machine faster but it looks as if tiger will be out by the fall and I doubt you want to pay 129 now and 129 again in the fall.

if the money doesn't bother you then go for it. when I upgraded from jaguar to panther I really noticed a difference in speed. since osx has gotten faster with each release I would imagine tiger will be even faster then panther.

made quite a noticable difference on my Mom's old 400 mhz G3 powerbook. I say go for it... you won't be sorry. Her computer was much pokier under Jaguar.

i have the exact same setup (but640 mb ram) and panther runs like a dream..get it!
