Panther on upgraded Wallstreet PB?

Hi there, does anyone know if it is posible to run Panther on an upgraded powerbook G3 wallstreet. (it is now running Jaguar just fine)
This model did not have bilt in USB, but I have USB by means of a PC card, and my processor is upgraded to a 500MHz G3.

Has anyone tried this?

I have a friend who installed it on a base model Wallstreet and it well runs at the very least. Since your processor is upgraded maybe you'll have a much faster experience. His major complaint was that he couldn't get the animated cube effect when switching users since his computer I believe only had 8MB of VRAM onboard.
