Panther & Quicksilver

I have just put a winning bid on Ebay for a Quicksilver 733Mhz G4 for £480 pounds UK.

I am upgrading from a G4 350Mhz running panther. If anyone here has a Quicksilver 733Mhz and is running panther could you let me now how it runs.

We run Panther on the EXACT machines. It runs fine. We have 512megs of RAM and I wouldnt recommend anything less for a computer, Windows or Mac. We have had strange occurances of the OS not wanting to boot if we dont power up the machines over a period of time the OS just stops functioning and we have to reinstall it. Its really weird and at first we just shrugged it off as a fluke, but we have been able to reproduce it with several of the machines. But this was with Jaguar and below. We have not tested it with Panther. Hopefully its fixed.

Yeah, I have a dual 733 system with 1.5 GB RAM and runs panther fine. Sometimes it acts strange after resuming from sleep.
