Panther

Hi. I need a computer, and I am thinking of getting a Powerbook. However, I don't want to spend big bucks on Panther when it is out. Any advice or speculations?

No one apart from Apple actually knows the release date. Before the end of the year is all we're told. There is talk of it being near to release to manufacturing in a few weeks (Thinksecret) but my guess is it will be out in good time for Christmas. So late October or November. Depends on how urgent you need a powerbook...
