Parallax and “dark appearance dims wallpaper” still don’t work

I’m really confused as to why parallax is still an option on iPad if it still doesn’t work even in 16.2. There’s no movement of icons or background at all. The effect is simply busted. Also the “dark appearance dims wallpaper“ toogle does absolutley nothing in wallpaper settings. iPadOs tricks you when setting a wallpaper and previews it properly with a dark overlay but in reality my wallpapers are never dimmed in dark mode, no matter how any different ones I try. Only apples built in wallpapers switch to dark mode. Again, this is simply a busted feature that used to work pre iPadOS 16.

Am I missing something? or is this just more of apples sloppiness and iPad neglect? Is it fixed in the 16.3 beta?
