Just decided to post here since it seems no one has ever done it but if one were wondering how well PPSSPP emulator would work under a virtual machine, I have tried it and it works smoothly, getting full frames (30/30) playing Fate Stay Night fighting game. The main advantage over using OpenEmu is simply opening up the developer settings and able to increase texture resolutions (was able to go 4x and run very well) since OpenEmu doesn't have that option. Granted using home-brew or dual booting is better but if one already has a virtual machine (especially if one has a VM and didn't want to install Xcode which is around 5 GB) it is a nice option to know. Putting it out there as knowledge since I did try to look this up at one point and didn't find anything.
Using a 2015 13" rMBP if that matters.
