Parallel and blank discs

Hi, I wondered if someone could please assist. I've been using Parallel again and I've noticed that when this application is running on my system it takes priority of and cd / dvd's i load in to my iMac.

I can't access the data unless I turn Parallel off - is there a solution at all please

At the bottom of the Parallels window, you should see a blue CD/Circle along with some other device icons. Click on it, and then click Disconnect. The optical drive will then become available to Mac OS X.
