Okay, for christmas I got my dad Parallels 3. He already had Parallels 2 for awhile now, over a year. The front of the box explicitly said there is a rebate if you're upgrading from Parallels 2.x for $30.
He goes through the rebate process on nova's website, enters the code and whatnot. One of the requirements is a competitor's manual cover or cd.
He only has Parallels 2, and the rest of the form distinctly says this rebate is for 2.x upgrades. So why the heck is it asking for a competitor's cover or cd?
I have VMWare fusion but there is no way I'm giving him the CD to send in for a rebate, and sending in the manual cover to VMWare just seems odd. This rebate is for an upgrade from 2.x after all. The bottom of the form page where you fill out your address and whatnot specifically says that. Not an upgrade from a competitor's product.
Anyone else know what the heck is going on with this? I attached images of the form page showing exactly what it is asking.
