Parallels 3 w/bootcamp... reauthorize windows each time?

Hey,

I am using bootcamp with parallels 3. Do i really need to reauthorize windows each time or is there a workaround/fix/hack? Should i upgrade to bootcamp 4?

Each time you run it? No.
Each time you reinstall Windows? Yes.

Parallels 4 was generally a solid upgrade from 3. But having done the upgrade, I'd suggest looking at Fusion if you're thinking of paying for an upgrade.

Generally, you should only need to do it twice. Once after getting Boot Camp set up initially, and once after installing Parallels and booting the Boot Camp partition. After that any switches should just work.

In my experience, every time there's a Parallels update, Windows decides I need to activate. Once I do, I can just both Parallels and Boot Camp without a problem until the next time I update.

Sometimes I wonder why I bothered to buy a legit copy of XP...
