So, here's an interesting problem, and it's really starting to get to me. It always seems to hit me at the worst possible times.

Essentially, when using Parallels 9 to run Windows 8, my system's UI becomes unresponsive. Generally, this occurs when using Windows, but I've also had it hit me while I've switched over to a Mac desktop, via Mission Control. The mouse pointer still moves, but clicking doesn't do many thing, nor does using any sort of short cut or keyboard command. There's no way to to get around it without shutting the system down by the power button. This is happening on a late 2012 iMac. If the UI does respond at all, it can take over two minutes to register a click. The mouse pointer remains snappy as ever, though.

I've tried talking to Parallels support, but they were absolutely no help. They told me to do all the usual things (reboot, repair permissions) and try to generate an error report. They don't seem to understand that the system is so unresponsive that there's no way to do this while the error is occurring, nor is there any way to induce it. Has anyone seen this happen, or have any idea how to stop it? It's gotten to the point that I'm having to reboot my iMac with the power button at least once a week, and that simply should not be happening. I might as well just be booting into Bootcamp if I'm going to have to do that. Everything on my Mac is patched to the latest version, including Parallels.
