Parallels and Games

Hi guys..

i just got parallels 3.0 and so far im not happy with it.

here are the reasons:

slow , very slow. even dedicanting 1.5gb ram of my 2gb ram.

i cant run games because says that my card is a generic video card.
its not suppose to let windows use all the power from the vram ? my computer have 256mb ram.

mouse work pretty bad , slower than on macosx.

am i missing some kind of update , install drivers or something like that ?

( windows and drivers here we go again ).

my config is a macbook pro 2.4ghz / 256mb gforce 8600 / 2gb ram

i heard so good things about paralles , i hope those people are not wrong..

anyone around, use paralles and run games well ?

FYI, Parallels Tools updates all the drivers in the VM so that things actually work with your Mac...it should fix your mouse and video issues.

Parallels (and VMWare) is ok for some games, but in general if you want to play Windows games you'll be better off (or required) using Boot Camp. There are lots of threads on that part, though, that probably have better info available than I can offer.

u already helped.

i tried to install windows using bootcamp , but says on disk utility that i need to format my HD to something journaled.. but its already formated on that format.. i dont want to format my computer just to run windows.

I like parallels and I'm sure you should tune everything correctly to be glad too! Did you make any results? Now is ok with speed?

About games, parallels has an own game-list. if it's not enough for you, use Bootcamp.
