Has any one else been able to install Win XP on Macbook Air 1.6GHz 80GB

What is it do I have to do to get it going??

Yea the remote disk thing could be a problem i suggest taking a .ISO image of the windows XP disc, and trying installing it like that. That might solve your problem.

i was using .iso image as well as i just purchased superdrive too

i am using parrellels to install win xp

i am not talking about remote desktop,

You probably just need to update Parallels Desktop to build 5584 (btw it's not 5.5.4.0 that you are running, it is 3.0 build 5540, which is actually a beta build).

I did updated it to the latest version, also, but no help.. it still crashes

Same problem

I was having the same problem. Same build, also used .iso What worked for me was disconnecting my portable HDD that was attached. I hope that helps.

There are a lot of discussion regarding Macbook Air crashing with Parallels. Apparently Parellels is lookiong at this at the moment. I have MBA 1.6/80 and have stopped using Parallels because Parallels keep crashing with the MBA.
