ok, so i downloaded parallels desktop for mac 3 on my 2Ghz macbook running 10.5.1
it asked me to insert the Windows XP installation disk into the drive, and i was wondering if i could use the recovery disk from my old Toshiba Satellite laptop?

Won't work anyway - most manufacturer's like Toshiba to a hardware check on the HD or boot record, to ensure it's the original machine. It won't detect the relevant stuff, so it won't install.

Besides, you need a full version of Windows XP SP2 anyway.
